Mia – 9 June 2020

Welcome to the world Mia! This little girl arrived into the world as the first stage of Covid-19 restrictions saw our country go into lockdown for 6 weeks. Unfortunately we had to delay her newborn session. Newborns are normally photographed ideally up to 2-3 weeks of age maximum. Even at 10 weeks of age this little lady was just like a newborn. She was so good during her session, it was nice to get some asleep and awake photos, not to mention gorgeous little smiles!

I had the pleasure of photographing her big brother when he was born. It’s so nice having families come back for baby number two. Congrats to Steph, Marty & big brother Zac on the arrival of your little girl….. and back into ISO 2.0 we go!

Sometimes capturing a sibling photograph can be challenging for 2-3 year olds. As a photographer I always have some tricks up my sleeve. Sometimes you don’t need lots of the same photo, all you need is one to cherished forever.

Her big brother has the most amazing blue eyes I think I’ve come across.

Plenty of smiles for her mum and certainly content with dad.

In Mia’s session the colour palette included hint of rustic and warm tones. From dark grey with a mulberry wrap to this set up with her cute little head with dried flowers.

Lastly, the final shot in her photoshoot snug as a bug sound asleep.

Baby Jack

Back in March 2020 I had an enquiry from a lovely lady interested in a newborn session. However the excitement was short lived, the Corona Virus had reared its ugly head. Into lockdown we went. It wasn’t a great week contacting all my clients to postpone their photography sessions but that’s just what had to happen.

Fast forward 3 months and the first step of restrictions were finally lifted! This meant I could resume photography sessions again. Lucky for us little Jack had just arrived into the world a week earlier. Yes, we could go ahead with his newborn session at the studio!

It was lovely working with Janine and Matt during the session, and all his photos have come together so nicely. Especially his crocheted blanket from Nanna!

Congratulations on the arrival of your gorgeous little boy, you make a beautiful little family of three!
